Consuming cinema is a canker sore of passion on the inner lip of my life.
Comedic cohorts will agree, watching funny movies is a great joy when they are done right and presented at the high points in your life. Funny movies work with thanks to
funny people, which brings me to my point of this much post-poned post.
Funny People, was the last of three films I recently viewed in theaters. All three, some form of comedy. The other two stories were entitled,
(500) days of Summer and
The Hangover.
Let me start out by stating that I enjoyed and respect all three of these movies, and what I'm noticing now, looking back, is that they weren't all just simple "pie in the penis" collections of jokes on a reel. They were all slightly
dark humor. The dark type of humor I enjoy. Creeping along the border of tastefulness with lots of poor sex jokes back to back with Holocaust hilarities.
Anyways,
(500) days was a great Independent Rom-Com, see it when you can.
Hangover was also side splitting and spectacular, maybe not as deep as these other two movies, or maybe just not as depressing underskin layer. Nonetheless, silly and worth a view with some good friends. And finally
FP, was an Apatow drama sprinkled with pee-pee puns and poon-nanny party fouls. See it, but be warned you will have to take off those summer sunglasses to catch the bright lights that flicker through the darkness of this almost
Click-like cameo starred story.
And there it is for now, my first "publicized" review.
posted.
